Jozankei Onsen

Located about 1 hour (26 km) from downtown Sapporo by car, Jozankei Onsen is situated in Shikotsu-Toya National Park. Surrounded by mountains, this valley hot spring area welcomes nearly 2.4 million visitors a year. There is plenty to do nearby including cafes, activities, and saunas. Jozankei Gorge, nestled amongst lush natural surroundings, offers different, inspiring scenery each season.

Scenic Snow Tent Sauna

Warm up in a tent sauna while enjoying the winter scenery, then jump into the fluffy snow to cool down. Come here for a luxurious relaxing time.
This tent sauna with a scenic winter view offers the chance to try snow diving. The difference in temperature between the inside of the tent and the outdoors is incredibly refreshing!

Yukitouro

Open for about a week from late January to early February each year
Found at Jozankei Shrine in a valley packed with deep snow, Yukitouro is a dreamlike snow art festival that is only held when the air is incredibly clear and bitingly cold during the winter. After passing through the snow candle area, you’ll find the Forest of Prayer, a mysterious spot that melds light and video for a truly unforgettable experience.

Mt. Yotei

Mt. Yotei is counted amount Japan’s 100 most famous mountains. Its nearly perfectly conical shape practically symbolizes the Niseko area.

Niseko Distillery

The Niseko Distillery is part of the Hakkaisan group, which mainly brews Hakkaisan Sake in Minamiuonuma, Niigata. Using local natural features, the brewery aims to develop along with the community, brewing refined, delicate, uniquely Japanese whiskey. To this end, they use ingredients such as top-quality Niseko Annupuri subsurface water and barley malt to produce malt whiskey.
