Terrace of Frost Tree
Located at an altitude of 1,088 meters, Terrace of Frost Tree is beautiful natural art that emphasizes the contrast of white against the blue sky. Between 2 to 10 degrees below freezing, mist freezes onto the trees forming rime known in Japanese as muhyo. These gorgeous trees can be seen on the snow-covered mountains of Tomamu.
Ice Village
Ice Village is a spot surrounded by ice-covered trees on a snowy plain where a town made of ice appears only at night during the winter. Enjoy activities that are only possible in the cold, such as a visit to the Ice Hotel, made of a single slab of ice, and the Ice Church.
